Oscar Wilde Birthday Toast from Gyles Brandreth

Gyles Brandreth — author, actor, broadcaster and former MP and Lord Commissioner of the Treasury — toasts Oscar Wilde at the start of the annual birthday dinner held by the Oscar Wilde Society, of which Gyles is honorary president.

These remarks were made at the National Liberal Club on 15 October, 2021, one day before Oscar’s 167th birthday. Gyles mentions his new autobiography, Odd Boy Out, and also the event’s keynote speaker, actor Neil Titley.
