New Book: The Woman’s World, Edited by Oscar Wilde

The Oscar Wilde Society is proud to announce its latest book: the Joan Winchell edition of Selected Articles from The Woman’s World, chosen, annotated and with an introduction by Eleanor Fitzsimons. This volume features 30 articles from Oscar Wilde’s two-year stint as editor of The Woman’s World.

The articles, never reprinted since the 1880s, cover women in politics, education, literature, the arts, careers and travel, with authors including Constance Wilde, Speranza (Lady Wilde, Oscar’s mother), Ouida and Marie Corelli. Each article is accompanies by a bio of the author and its illustrator.
