Robbie Ross Celebration Dinner (members and their guests only)

A dinner in celebration of the 150th birthday of Robert ‘Robbie’ Ross, man of letters, devoted friend, erstwhile lover and literary executor of Oscar Wilde and mentor to the poets Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen; with speeches by Ross’s biographer, Jonathan Fryer; the President of the Oscar Wilde Society, Gyles Brandreth; and a reading by actor Edwin Thomas, who played Robbie in Rupert Everett’s film The Happy Prince.

Dress code: elegantly casual, no jeans or trainers. Gentlemen are required to wear a collared shirt and jacket but a tie is not mandatory.
